Track One: North America Summit II Strengthening Regional Security and Economic Competitiveness In 2008, CSG-WEST convened an inaugural North America Summit for state lawmakers from the United States, Canada and Mexico. This year North America Summit II brings lawmakers from the three countries together to discuss ways to enhance the continent’s competitiveness in such areas as energy, trade and border management. Track Two: Annual Legislative Training Assembly (ALTA) ALTA offers a full day of professional development for lawmakers at all stages of their careers. All annual meeting participants are invited to these highly interactive training sessions.

Join award-winning Minnesota broadcast journalist/trainer Lindsay Strand for this hands-on session on how to deliver memorable messages and handle “hot seat” interviews. Using role play and mock interviews, participants will review media do’s and don’ts, polish interview styles and learn how to reach out to an audience.
